You'll recall that we spoke a couple years ago.  I've been quite busy
finishing a Masters in American Indian Studies and working on my PhD in that
same department, so I haven't really been following the "Ghostwolf" garbage
very closely.  Recently, my attention was drawn to some new pages that
Franzone had added to his website by friends, particularly the page you
refer to in depth on your page at http://www.planetaryhq.com/ghostwlf.htm,
about halfway down, the "conspiracy" page, in which I am named (and
libeled).

First, there's a reference to my having lived in, and then leaving,
Flagstaff, Arizona.  While I love Flagstaff, and visit as often as possible,
I have never lived there, nor were any of my webpages ever on a server
located there.  I think that Franzone, witless as usual, believes that
"u.arizona.edu" refers to Northern Arizona University (it does not; the
domain for NAU is "nau.edu") rather than the University of Arizona, located
in Tucson, where I have lived, except for one year spent doing tribal law
and governance studies at the University of Kansas School of Law, in
Lawrence, Kansas, from August 1997 through July 1998, since May 21, 1996.

Prior to that, I lived Friday Harbor, Washington (San Juan Island, a short
ferry ride from Orcas Island, where Franzone was pulling his scam and
beating Judi Pope and her daughter, and this is where I first became aware
of his activties.  Two other 'Skin friends and I attended one of his events
on Orcas, and were forced to leave by his "staff" when we began asking
questions about his veracity.  Franzone denies this ever occurred, but it
did indeed), where I was still working as a journeyman finish carpenter.  I
left the homebuilding profession in 1992 because of a back injury, and
enrolled at Skagit Valley College in Mount Vernon, Washington, in January
1993.  In August 1994, having been accepted as a transfer student, I moved
to Pullman, Washington, to attend Washington State University.  I graduated
from WSU summa cum laude on May 11, 1996, and came to the University of
Arizona on a full scholarship to the Department of Anthropology.  My WSU
Bachelors degree is in Cultural and Political Anthropology, with
concentrations in American Indian Federal Law and Policy and Physical
Anthropology.  After one year in the Department of Anthropology, I
transferred to American Indian Studies Programs, where I took my Masters
degree, and am currently enrolled in the Ph.D. program.

My specialization in AIS is Societies and Cultures/Law and Policy, and I am
at this point working on a dissertation proposal   to shed some light on the
origins of the current growing rift between mainstream environmentalists and
tribal nations across the US and Canada, and the way that much environmental
writing - sometimes referred to as "nature writing" - fails to consider, in
much the same way as colonial writers did, that the human hand has always
shaped this continent, and that in creating false constructs of "pristine
wilderness" and of cities as "fallen" areas, such writing tends to avoid
completely the contested lands where members of marginalized races or
classes live, and fails to deal with the concept of "national sacrifice
areas" in human terms, inasmuch as the Indians, Hispanics, Blacks, Asians,
and poor Whites living in those areas are sacrificed as well (these are
zones where uranium mines and coal mines and their pollution of groundwater,
or toxic waste dumps are located, without exception in proximity to

And though I appreciate your defense of those who work in the field of what
we refer to here at the University of Arizona as "evironmental engineering,"
i.e., janitorial work, I do not now nor have I ever worked as a janitor or
"evironmental engineer," in Tucson or anywhere else.  I have worked
continuously for American Indian Studies Programs since September 9, 1996,
first as a Graduate Research Assistant and now for the past two years as a
Graduate Teaching Assistant during the Fall and Spring semesters and as a

So much for that.

Okay, my main beef with people like Franzone is that they abstract bits our
culture - the best way to explain it is that taking a ceremony out of the
interconnected context of sacred history, territory, language, and
ceremonial cycle may render such a ceremony useless or perhaps even
dangerous - and then sell them as the genuine article, something along the
lines of someone taking parts of the Catholic liturgy and extracting the
"cool parts" and then performing those parts for money (I realize, as a
Catholic Dakota/Lakota myself, that Catholicism probably isn't the best
analogy...I'm not sure how many people would pay money to participate in
particular parts of the Mass, although I could see a possible market for
"Express Confessional" and "Instant Communion").  This is the deepest
essence of what Franzone does, and it is comprised of both "snake oil sales"
and of a deep disrespect for Native cultures, particularly those from which
Franzone abstracts his texts.  If you've spoken with Judi Pope, you know
that Franzone obtained a lot of written materials from one of the Seneca
grandmothers, one of their holy women, by theft of those materials from
Pope's garage.

I have one suggestion for the Court Docket records on your website: put in
the charges as well as the docket numbers.  Let people see what the courts
of the State of California have to say about Robert Franzone/Perry/Parry.
You should also be made aware of four separate corporations set up in New
Mexico by Franzone, one bearing his daughter's name, Gabrielle Parry,
without her mother's permission (she was a minor child and in her mother's
sole custody when the "corporations" were set up), as well as the names of
Nello Olivo and Franzone himself under two different names, Robert Parry and
Robert Wolff.  I'm attaching them as htm files, and the address of the
search engine for the New Mexico Corporation Commission Records is
http://www.nmprc.state.nm.us/ftq.htm if you wish to search for yourself.
You may find more than I did.  It should be noted also that all these
"corporations" are dummy corporations, some set up by the same agent:

Searches for "Wolf Lodge" also found two entries, both in revoked status (as
are all four of the others described above), and bearing two different
addresses, one in Payson, Arizona, where Franzone and Pope apparently lived
for a while and co-owned a piece of property, since sold, and the other his
current, 1001 E. BROADWAY, STE.325 MISSOULA , MONTANA 59802.  However, I
used to live in Missoula, and I immediately recognized this address; it's a
Postal Plus or Mailboxes, Etc., something like that, next to a supermarket.
Last time I was in Missoula visiting friends I made sure, and that's what
the place is, a mailbox.

I didn't know if you were aware of the New Mexico connection or not, so if
this is information you already have, well, now you have it twice.
