Angel's Lair and Angel's Keep is a place where the needs of security were well structured into its construction. My ability to activate certain aspects came as I acquired the knowledge of where the knowledge of where the switches were and the proper sequence of events needed to turn them on or off.
First and foremost in the list of things needed and
expected was the proper genetic code. It was for this reason, and others,
I had been provided the spinal implant that resulted in the impossible
changes to my eyes. The discriminators and scanning devices were preprogrammed
to look for this aspect. Next, the programming searched for a particular
soul signature. The soul is unique
to each individual, more so than fingerprints. Its
markings can not be duplicated or forged. Thus, it becomes an excellent
security mechanism. Finally, after having identified the correct individual,
the discriminators compare this information to the historical record of
the timeline to insure that particular person is properly positioned for
that moment in time. When these conditions have been met, then (and only
then) will things start to happen.
The Griffin is the master discriminator, scanning device, and switch for the area. There are, under it, many other sub switches preset to moments in time. These, set to show me things as I undertook the journey through my awakening to come to a knowledge of the place and its purpose. I set these things in place before my entrance into mortality knowing that I would need them in the future.
The Keep is a fortress buried deep into a mountain valley. There is only one avenue of ingress and it is very difficult. Also, it is situated in such a fashion that you can see anyone coming at you for fifty years before they actually get there. The idge lines of of the valley have sentry posts carved into the rock. Currently, these are active in a station keeping fashion set to guard from intruders possessed of poor intent.
In the valley floor, and through the routes one must
take on foot there are also a number of gates.
Each of these gates is 'manned' by a watcher. As with
the Griffin, the watcher seeks to identify people and timeline events related
to that particular location. There are many watchers positioned at various
locations. This picture is one of the better carved renditions of a watcher.
The Watcher
Here we have a man, not human, wrapped in a blanket against the long cold nights involved in his mission. His left eye is partially opened indicating a state of semi-awareness (half sleep) while his right eye is closed totally.
This watcher is a guardian of one of five carved gateways.
